Obtaining an MBA Degree > GMAT Ranges
It really depends on your background. I have known people who got in with a 600 and people who got rejected with a 780 score. If you are thinking of applying to Harvard, I would recommend shooting for a GMAT score of around 700. However, if you get between 620-690, I would still consider applying. The GMAT score is very important, and it is one of the reasons migrant students do not get into top schools; I would certainly dedicate a lot of time to studying it. However, it s only one of many data points that HBS and the other schools use. The other data points include, GPA, Extra Curricular Activities, Personal Background, Leadership Qualities, Community Service.

I agree. Focus on getting 700, and if you get around 650, go ahead and apply.
